When you click Discussions from Course Navigation, you are taken to the Discussions Index Page. This page is where you can find all discussions from your course organized by whether they have been pinned to the top of the page or are open or closed to comments and ordered by recent activity.
At the top of the Discussions Index Page you can find a filter for viewing all discussions or just ones with unread posts. Next to that is a box labelled Search that you can use to search for discussions within the page. You can also find a + Discussion button for adding Discussions and the Settings icon for managing Discussion Settings.
You can also collapse and expand the Pinned Discussions, Discussions, and Closed for Comments groups.
