Announcements are a way for instructors to communicate with students. As soon as an announcement is posted, students are notified according to their Notification Preferences. This means instructors can use the learning space to post reminders, share links to resources, or celebrate student success, while also getting the message to students outside of the learning space. Instructors can even allow students to reply directly to announcements which can help to clarify messages for everyone involved.
