iClicker is a polling tool available at Cornell. Your instructor may require the use of iClicker in their course. They may require the use of a physical clicker, use of the iClicker Student app, or they may allow either. Please see your course syllabus for details on which form of clicker is permitted.

If you will be using a physical clicker, one can be purchased at the Cornell Store (or picked up for free by those enrolled in the CAMP program). Remotes can also be purchased on many online sites such as eBay or Craigslist. Any type of iClicker brand remote will work: iClicker, iClicker+, or iClicker2 models. Please note that points will only be recorded for one remote in any given course.

Registering your clicker for one course will automatically register your clicker for ALL your courses each semester. If you have already registered your iClicker remote for another course, it is already registered for this course. To register your iClicker remote using the iClicker Student app:

  • You can download the free iClicker Student App in either the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store on your smart phone.
  • Sign up for an account, but do not pay for the subscription.
  • Tap/Click the three lines and choose Profile.
  • Tap/Click Register Remotes.
  • Tap/Click the +, type in the iClicker Remote ID from the back of your clicker and click Save.

Registering your clicker for one course will automatically register your clicker for ALL your courses each semester. If you have already registered your iClicker remote for another course, it is already registered for this course. To register your iClicker remote using the iClicker Student website:

  • Go to the iClicker Student website: https://student.iclicker.com/#/account
  • Type in Cornell, choose “Cornell University” and click Next
  • Fill in the information and be sure to enter your Cornell NetID Email for “Cornell University Email” and “Confirm Email” fields, and your Cornel NetID for the Cornell NetID field.
  • Create a password you use to sign in to iClicker, noting the four requirements for your password.
  • Check the box to agree to their terms and click “Create Account.
  • NOTE: Do not pay for the subscription
  • Click the three lines and choose Profile
  • Click Register Remotes
  • Click the “+” and type in the iClicker Remote ID on the back of your clicker and click Save
