In Canvas, after publishing your course, you need to actively Publish your modules, content, and activities in order for them to become available to students. Publishing is done automatically for File links once they are created in modules. Modules, External URL links, Pages, Assignments, Quizzes, and Discussions must be manually published. These items can also be unpublished using the same process, but learning activities with student submissions cannot be unpublished.

- External URL links in a module, click the publish symbol at the far right of the link in the module.
