Finding Media URLs and Embed Code

When you want to bring in media content from outside of Canvas, you often need the media URL or embed code. In this walkthrough we will explore how to get the URL and embed code for a YouTube video. Other media servers have similar processes for getting embed code and URLs.

Getting a YouTube Video’s URL or Embed Code

  1. Find the video on YouTube for which you want get a URL and open it.
  2. Right click on the video and choose Copy video URL or Copy embed code.
